Greetings Delta Division Members and Amateurs,

I wish to announce that this Saturday the Lawrence County ARC will be
hosting the ARRL Arkansas State Convention at the 2020 Winterfest in
Hoxie, AR. We must also announce some breaking news: Ray Novak, N9JA
from Icom will be our special guest. Ray will be bringing some
interesting display items, one of the Icom traveling displays for the
hamfest which will no doubt include the latest and greatest radios from
Icom. he might even have some to play with. So this should be a really
great show and tell so those of you in the area, don't miss out. We also
plan on having a great ARRL forum with our Arkansas SM J. Ferguson,
N5LKE. For those of you in West TN, NE MS, and AR, this is something
worth doing on a winter's Saturday.

Due to continued concerns with COVID-19, the 2020 Mena Hamfest, that
was scheduled for Sept. 11-12, 2020, has been CANCELLED.

Hopefully, full details will be announced soon at menahamfest.net

The only other "scheduled" hamfest in Arkansas for 2020 is the K5BOC
Memorial Hamfest, set for October 10, on Petit Jean Mountain in
Morrilton -- the website k5boc.org has further information. However,
because of COVID-19 concerns, and the recent spike of cases in Arkansas,
and the region, that hamfest may be cancelled as well.

Here are the tentative dates for 2021 Arkansas hamfests...along with locations and websites. The dates are subject to change, and all of the hamfests noted below, may be cancelled as well...basically making the
hamfests in Arkansas "a thing of the past".
