I don't want to flood him, but he's still not receiving my netmail. Everyone else is receiving via Micronet and Fidonet. If he volunteers
on here, could someone with routed netmail send him a message? I'm sure direct would work, but we need to test routed.

May or may not mean anything. I've sent routed Ping netmails from here
to both 250/1 and 300/1. Only got a response from 250/1.
Neither node flies the PING flag, so they don't have to respond. Just more of an observation.

You ALWAYS have to use real names in netmail. It was not designed to use aliases and can result in your messages being deleted en route if a name is not found in a nodelist.
It is -required- that you use real names in netmail.
From the Micronet Policy Document in section 1, paragraph 7:
7. Netmail requires real names to be used without exception due to the way netmail is handled by FTN nodes in Micronet. If aliases are used,
your message may not get delivered.
I bet this is why your netmail may be having issues.
Again, always use real names for netmail. You used my full name in your netmails to me.
I didn't know warpslide's real name so I didn't have a choice. This is the only time I've used a handle. He got it.

I believe Andrew L. and I are the only ones that have PING and TRACE.

So this sparked some curiosity with me, as I dont see how or why this would occur. (Unless I'm not understanding the context of this discussion?)
It is quite conceivable that user "Teller" on a system could send me a netmail, and:
a) "Teller" wouldnt appear in the nodelist, as he is a user,
b) "Teller" could be a real name.
Is there a spec that I've missed that explains your position in more detail?
When clrghouz processes mail (and netmail) for systems, it does no processing on the "name" fields of a message in a packet (and many
other fields for that matter).

Pretty much any Synchronet system will respond to Ping, as will clrghouz.
