• GAC 32 Bit Doors

From Martin Kazmaier@618:300/50 to All on Sat Feb 10 20:47:00 2024
Is there any reason to run these instead of the 16 bit counterparts? Other than maybe with a 64 bit OS? I've been considering running them for a while, but haven't tried yet or heard from anyone who is. If they're more stable,
or whatever it might be worth it... Let me know if anyone has tried the NT versions of these. I'd guess they wouldnt' require a fossil and would use door32.sys, but I don't know.

Let me know if you were able to get these to work, I wasn't.

    In theory, you are correct.

If they don't work for you, then obviously you should stick to the 16-bit DOS versions.

I can't get them to pay any attention what-so-ever to command line options. gac_bj32.exe -handle (followed by the handle) doesn't do anything
what-so-ever. It just complains about no configuration file no matter what I include after gac_bj32.exe.

Do the config files exist? For many programs, even if you plan to feed it
all of the options via command line, the config file still needs to be
    there or it won't start.

It does. This works in the dos version from the dropfile directory.
