    Hi Mark,

You have Kent Stanford 1:123/1970 marked down but he connects with my system all the time for mail. Last poll here was 11/27.

he is marked Down because his system did not answer when polled numerous times... the listing shows CM and is now marked with ,U,NOANSWER as the reason for the Down listing... here's the most recent poll test run just now...

if he has a new domain or has moved his mailer to a different port, he needs to
let me know about it so it can be fixed in the nodelist...

    thanks

    Obviously I know this.

I'm just letting you know he's technically still active, polling my system.

What you choose to do is up to you.

know what? what the test results are or some other part of my post? nvm...

do you deliver to him? are the domain and the port correct?

I'm just letting you know he's technically still active, polling my system.

i understand that but no one can't connect to his system directly... i have no contact information for him and had, until now, no clue where to send his routed netmails if any arrive here...

What you choose to do is up to you.

what do you think i should do? remove the CM and restore it since he is not contactable directly?? serious question...

what about the other ones that i've not brought up yet that require session level security by default and no cold callers can connect to their mailer? several Mystic systems and at least one IREX system... i'm not even sure i can drop off netmail to them... what now???

I put mail on hold for him to pick up.

When I grep my BinkD log, I show his last connection attempt to my system as being fairly recent. Hence, letting you know that although you have him listed down, he's active.

Route the Netmails for him through my system.

Simple, maintain your present course of action and nuke them. That will get their attention, if they are serious about having a reachable Fido listing.

You're a *C with the answers all infront of you, its not hard to fix all of this. All of this is mickey mouse segment management 101. Your script is on the right track and I don't understand why you're asking me about the obvious.
