Can a CD/DVD Drive be used with a Chromebook?
yes, it just cant boot a chromebook
I have mentioned external Drives to my Friend who uses a Chromebook
and He is thinking about buy one.
its same as put cdrom drive on huawei phones or tablets, it works, but not being possible to run macOS from it :)
I Searched with DuckDuckGo for information about Chromebooks and
CD/DVD drives and one website page:
sadly chromebooks are designed to have limited ssd, and thus all in cloud filesophy, with is insane with samsung mobile phone have 1TB storages, hmm i still have a chromebook with just 16Gb asus branded
https://www.chromebookhq.com/chromebook-dvd-drive/
says:
"In summary, a Chromebook optical drive:
Can read disks, but with only accepted file types
Can play music from accepted file types, like mp3
Can play movies from accepted file types, like mp4
Cannot burn files to a CD or DVD"
Does Anyone use a CD or DVD external drive with their Chromebook?
nope, i just copy cd dvd to filesystem, then move data to the chromebook, check
if chromebook take diffrent sillyness from rommed devices then read/write devices, or its same shit on usb ?
Thanks! for any comments,
