Howdy! Holger,

In a message on 06-21-18 Ed Vance said to All:
GM Ed or should I say GN when your msg is dated 0:19,
Either is acceptable.
You wrote the Reply in the Morning at 10:02 so GM would work.
I was burning the Midnight Oil when I wrote the original post.
Avast has a Tab selection that checks (some) program I use to see if
their Version is up-to-date.
So has AVG and many other programs.
Thanks, I have only used McAfee (it came installed on the XP pc), Avast!
and Commodo, I hadn't seen the Version Update feature in neither McAfee
or Commodo so was suprised to see Avast! had it, so I stopped using Secunia.
When I see the Results there is always a Premarked Box to make
Google Chrome the default Browser.
The same holds true for Opera also, and once you have set it to be default, there's no way out. I had not observed the box when installing that said it would be the default browser. To get away I had to delete
the whole thing and re-install it.
Out the window flew the nice Speed menu that I had created.
OUCH!, that hurts.
One (some) of the Newsletters I read mentioned to always look to see if
a Checkmark has already been put in a Box to make IT the Default.
I see a Prechecked Box to make Google Chrome the Default in Avast!'s
Version Update checker and uncheck it before I Close the Avast! window.
Because I see this 'suggestion' from Avast to begin using the Chrome Browser often enough, I have began wondering how many readers of
this echo use Google's Chrome for their main browser or as an
optional browser?
I have Chrome installed on Windows machines but I use it very seldom.
Thank You.
Generally I use FFox for FB and most things, but since I noted that I always had to wait for the circular arrow to appear to be able to get
the Weather map updated because it always appeared with data from my previous visit, I use Edge because it always starts updated.
I can't recall if I've seen anything about the Edge browser.
I suppose I'll have to have a look-see on DuckDuckGo.com to learn about
the Edge browser.
NICE!, that Edge updates its self.
I use a XP Limited Users Account and have to switch Accounts periodically
to a Admin Account to update Firefox or Opera when the Avast! option lets
me knows I need to do it.
I usually never allow any 'services(?)' from Google unless I can't
see what I want to see on the page I'm looking at.
Neither do I, but since a crash I lost the AVG Secure Search, I have
used Google.
Recently, Firefox has crashed many times, some times more than once a day.
I'm mostly at fault for having opened many Tabs to read later, and opening several Firefox windows with many Tabs.
ROUNDTUITS! I never find time to read what is in the Tabs I have opened,
and always want to read some other website (and open more Tabs to read later).
For several months I have been seeing the LEDs on my Router blink about
every 5 seconds and have been wanting to finish reading what is in the Tabs I've marked for later reading so I could finally just have one Firefox
window open so I could learn if the LED blinking is caused by something in
one of the Tabs talking back to its webpage or if (perish the thought),
Malware has taken over this XP pc.

Another Note:
Years ago I told you that neither Mothers nor Fathers day are
celebrated the dates you do. Not even the neighboring countries Sweden
and Finland celebrate those days on the same date.
Forgive Me, I didn't remember that when I added Your's and Jean's Email
Address in the To: field of my Fathers Day message.
Everyone else I sent the Email to lives in the U.S.A., I hadn't thought
about different Countries having different dates for Special Days.
I probably won't remember it, but what dates are Mothers Day and Fathers Day celebrated in your part of the world?
