trick to get Flash applications to work with Wildcat? ..

Hi Steven... I may be being redundant, but... Make sure You have the
flash policy server set up. Make sure You have that port (843) for the
policy server open in Your firewall. Create a Link to the web page in
Your ftelnet directory for index.html. Make sure You check and change
anything needed in the Clientvars.js Things such as server name, socket
policy port and telnet hostname, hostname and telnet port must be set
up. Check these and anything else that may need changing and then try
again..

and connect just fine using the policy server I have online. I just cant get Wildcat to process the damn flash plugins ...

What version of ftelnet are you using? looks real old.
You need to update to the latest beta3 I IIRC, its smaller, more flexible and easy to work with.

The version of Ftelnet was the latest version on the web site .. so I would guess its the latest version.

Wins doesn't know what to do with the flash file because it is missing from mime_types.cfg

Go into wcconfig|web server|mime types , click add
on the first line put: application/x-shockwave-flash
on the second line put: swf
click OK, click OK again, close wcconfig
RESTART Winserver
Try Ftelnet again.

Let me know how it works.

mime_types.cfg

Go into wcconfig|web server|mime types , click add
on the first line put: application/x-shockwave-flash
on the second line put: swf
click OK, click OK again, close wcconfig
RESTART Winserver
Try Ftelnet again.
