Hi, Daryl! Recently you wrote in a message to ARDITH HINTON:
Hi, Ardith...
I saw a whole slew of messages from you in my packet,
and am just now getting to them.
Bless your heart... it looks as if you answered all of them too.
Unfortunately, all of the BBS's message bases got corupted, and I lost
all the incoming messages from March 5. So, I had to completely delete, rebuild, and re-iniitalize them. Not sure how they got corrupted, but at
least stuff is working now.
After which you were thoroughly awake & needed to work off the exc
adrenaline, I suppose. Glad I was able to help... [chuckle].
I just hope I didn't miss all of your replies in the message base
corruption.
I'd say they were old messages... but since you've just written +/
more recent replies, I'll have an abundance of new material to work with. :
As if you needed something to do. <G>
I do have some good news. Friday the 13th...of April...will be lucky
for me...in several ways.
I finally got the chance to have a consultation with my
gastrointerologist. I am overdue to get both a colonoscopy and an EGD (basically a lower and upper GI).
I was lucky enough to get them set up on Friday, April 13...which
gives me an OUT for NOT being able to do a 2 hour drive to Batesville,
Arkansas on April 14, for a square dance deal, and a set of meetings.
All the hotels in town were already sold out, anyway.
But, by doing both together, I get the following:
1) Medicare will pay 100% of the colonoscopy, as it's part of the
"Wellness Check".
2) Medicare will pay 80% of the EGD.
3) Since I'm having them both together, I get 50% off of the cost of the EGD...AND I only have to pay ONE anesthesia bill.
The worst part is obviously the prep work (bowel purge). I got that
NuLytely, with a lemon lime flavor pack. I drink half of it at 5pm April
12, and the other half at 3:30am April 13. I hope it makes it halfways
decent tasting...I have to add luke warm water first, then chill it.
I'll likely prep that on April 11, so it's nice and cold when I need it
on April 12.
Considering I'll spend much of the rest of that time on the toilet, I
won't get much sleep overnight. But, I will get a chance to sleep during
the procedure, and that night at my Mom's place, after it's all over.
If everything comes out all right (puns intended <G>), I won't have to
have either done again for 3 to 5 years.
Daryl
