All,
I've succesfully built hpt and htick, and now I want to add msged to the list. It builds, and
according to some documentation it should install a workable default msged.cfg to the Husky
etc directory that is setup to read most of the settings from fidoconfig. But in my case,
there is no msged.cfg added to my etc folder. Anyone care to share one? I can see a sample.cfg
in the sources but it looks like that's for the standalone msged instead on the husky-msged..
fconf2msged seems to work fine here. Thanks for the hint, that seems to do exactly what I needed!

I was hoping there was a keyword in the msged config to make it
read the fidoconfig (for the areas for example), but apparently it
needs its own config (which is understandable considering it's
basically a stand alone editor).
I don't use MsgED, I prefer GoldED. :)Yeah me too, but I'm strugling a bit with Golded in linux :-/

I've been using golded in Linux for a lot of years, what's urMostly keyboard-related things. Function keys didn't work (switching to Xterm in putty fixes that mostly). Shift+Arrow keys to select text doesn't work (work-around is using Alt-A). So with a few work-arounds, for now it's workable!
struggle.
