Esvintiya, would that be the proper phonetics of this?

It depends on what you try to say :) At least I don't know this word.

    Bye, Anatoliy.

I think it is the word "êºó¿¡¿ΓÑ", transliterated "Izvinite".

    From a Wikibooks page: "eez-vee-NEE-tye".

    Mostly guessing the vowels:
    ASCII-IPA: [iz v;i 'n;i t;I]
    X-SAMPA: [iz v'i "n'i t'I]
The last vowel could be close-mid or mid - "e".

    Good luck.

    Hello Aleksej!

Yes, it's difficult to Explain Russian phonetics with English letters... When I
hear how American actors play Russian villains in movies, I think they just can't pronounce most Russian sounds because they have no idea how they should be voiced (theoretically and physically). I think it's a dead end to explain how such letters as "δ" should sound without being able to voice them, although
eez-vee-NEE-tye is rather clear, but I'd rather suggest eez-vee-NEE-tee to avoid confusion.
