As far as utilities are concerned - Be advised that the "new" Renegades, le say anything past Y2KA2, are totally incompatible with most if not all 3rd-party utilities.

Darkrealms BBS has remained on a slightly customized Y2KA2 for many years n for this and other reasons.

Those are about the same reasons I'm running the y2ka2 version here. I still like to use it from time to time. It has not changes any from when I ran it in the late 90's. Only now it using netfoss 1.13 and net2bbs.. works great! Command=c:\netfoss\nf.bat /n*N /h*H c:\fluph\runbbs.bat *n StartPath=c:\fluph\temp*n

Thanks for the info. Using Elyedit to view the pipe txt files. I am going to download the Y2KA2 play with. I will be asking DarkRealms some questions but mostly now to get it to connect via telnet for now.

Yeah, I remember I had a disagreement with the (then) current developer. I told them it makes absolutely no sense to break compatibility with the hundreds of 3rd-party mod's and utilities. He also removed Digiboard support which rendered a perfectly working interface card obsolete with his releases.

My board is pretty much a "stock" configuration, very bare-bones but I figured anyone who loved using it in the past, who still remembers every freaking command key by-heart, would be able to login and be back home again...
