On 08-08-10, ED HULETT said to ROSS SAUER:

BRIDGEPORT -- About a dozen right-wing Christians, carrying placards and yelling "Islam is a lie," angrily confronted worshippers outside a Fairfield Avenue mosque Friday.

"Jesus hates Muslims," they screamed at worshippers arriving at the
Masjid An-Noor mosque to prepare for the holy week of Ramadan. One protester shoved a placard at a group of young children leaving the
    mosque. "Murderers," he shouted.

Police arrived on the scene to separate the groups, but said no arrests were made.

Flip Benham, of Dallas, Texas, organizer of the protest, was yelling at
    the worshipers with a bullhorn...

The Taliban in Afghanistan publicly whipped and then murdered a woman they claim committed adultry.

The only thing the homosexual crowd has to worry about is if Islam gets too strong a hold in America. So-called `gay marraige' doesn't over very well with Islamics.

The judge who made the ruling is openly gay and is an openly activist judge. The fact that he didn't recuse himself is telling.

And Elena Kagan will now be Supreme Court Justice Elena Kagan, a big poke in the eye to the professioanl rabble-rousers on the right-wing like Rush Limbaugh and Glenn Beck.

Really? How many times has Beck or Limbaugh commented on Kagan and what did they say?

Yeah screw the will of the voters..

California voters also approved of locking up "the Japs" during WW2.

They did? The internment camps were a federal thing and the Japanese-Americans were "relocated" by executive order signed by FDR. The states and the voters had nothing to do with it.

Just like the big pokes in the eye you got when Dubya's nominee's got
    in..

Now tell us about her judicial experience?

Right after you tell me about William Rehnquist's judicial experience.

    Far more than Kagan's.

    Here's Kagan's limited experience:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Elena_Kagan

Here's Rehnquist's experience -- Notice the 16 years of private practice:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Rehnquist

Kagan never practiced law as a lawyer. She went from learning to teaching and then to work for Clinton and Obama.

    Rehnquist's judicial experience dwarfs Kagan's.

You really should do more than let HuffPo and Media Matters tell you what to think.

Uh, the internment of the Japanese Americans was done at the
behest of a Presidential Executive Order, issued by FDR.

Due to hysteria whipped up by California residents, and a
    corrupt RS> general.
(The general's family got some rich land at fire-sale price from
    a RS> Japanese-American.)

So California comprises our entire Pacific Coastline, uh lemme fix my
    map.

    You're missing the point.

You have no point beyond what is fed to you by your favorite websites.

The fact is, people will vote for just about anything, if it's packaged just the right way.

    That's rather democratic of you.

It was FDR who insisted that Japanese-Americans be put in internment camps. Most of the citizens of Washington, Oregon and California were neighbors to these people and knew they weren't dangerous. It's a lie that Californians, Oregonians or Washingtonians wanted their neighbors and friends rounded up and put into camps. It was the racists in government who did this, led by FDR. As for the "corrupt general" you mention, you give no real information to back it up. I'm not saying it didn't happen, but that it's rather odd that you would mention the incident at all as if it happened in California and California was the only place Japanese-Americans were put in camps.

And the right-wing, especially religious right organizations like
"Family Research Council" and the Mormons sent out tons of propaganda, ncluding all sorts of anti-gay hysteria.

Total nonsense. The voters passed Prop 8 with 52% of the vote. It was overwhelmingly supported by more than just "right-wing... organizations."

Blacks and Hispanics voted by a larger percentage than Mormons or any other group. For its efforts, the LDS Church was fined only a little over $5K for not
disclosing all it did. Hardly enough of an effort to "package" anything "just the right way" to get people to vote their way.

If it was just about who spent more money and put up more advertisement, the anti-Prop 8 side would have won since they spent more than the pro-Prop 8 side by more than twice.

Now they want Judge Walker impeached.

He's biased against religion in general and Christianity in particular and an admitted homosexual. His rambling 136 page ruling reads like the rants you'd find on HuffPo and Media Matters. He talks about fighting bigotry, but then follows that with a bigoted screed attacking religion.

They never mention who nominated the judge, do they?
    And who opposed him?

It doesn't matter who nominated the judge.

    I can see why.
He was nominated by that "leftist liberal" Ronald Reagan, and the "good conservative" who fought against his nomination was Nancy Pelosi.

What does this have to do with anything?

Arent you the political expert on all things?

Of course, I guess it is true, that a 65 day military hero
living RC>> in such palatial accomodations in Eastern Wisconsin,
does know RC>> what is best for citizens of other states...

Gratuitous personal slam, once again you show your bankruptcy of
    ideas.

You certainly are elevating yourself to be the one who knows what is
    best for them out there.

    Keep attempting a diversion.

You claim you have a point and Cassell does not. The only one trying to divert attention is you. You make a claim and when challenged, you run away.

If they had voted on a proposition to make abortion mandatory, you
would be rejoicing them Californians as just and wise..

Wrong. Got any more BS to make up?

You make up more than your share of that.

You were told in the recent past that there were Sheriff Deputies
being shot in Arizona and that the Feds had erected signs out in the
Arizona desert to warn our citizens to the dangers posed by outlaws,
human smugglers etc... You pounded your tiny fists and said no, this
isnt happening because you couldnt see it from your front door..

There are US citizens, including *WHITES* involved in these activities
    as well.

    Really? Name some.

One little group was pulling their crimes while cloaked in a "anti- illegal immigration" group.

    What group is that?

But look out! The brown people are under your bed!

It's not about "brown people," race-bater, it's about right and wrong. We as US
citizens are required to show our citizenship when leaving and re-entering this
country, why is it suddenly a race matter to require people from foreign countries to enter the US legally and carry papers to showing they are here legally?
