And still these dumbass sheeple can't figure out that both
major political parties are morally and ethically bankrupt.

    SOOOooooo...howcdo you vote?

    Greedy malevolent Republicans

    Disastrously spendthrift Democrats

    Greedy rapacious incumbents?

After we throw the bastard out...they are replaced with a new group of bastards...

In the meantime 47% of the unemployed have been unemployed for over six
    months.
That is going to change the United States FOREVER.
    Teapot Dome all over again...:-|

I know, I vote libertarian. I have no belief in the
corporate welfare state any kmore than I do the nanny state. SHould I be forced to choose one or the other I"d rather
see people get the help than corporations, but ...

THe citizenry first needs to do a better job of educating
itself imho. TOo many people snooze through civics and
other such classes <g>. The system of checks and balances
we have *can* work, if we let it.

Agreed. wHich is why I've been thumbing my nose at both
majors the last three decades now.

    Greedy rapacious incumbents?

wHich wouldn't be reelected if people did a little critical
    thinking.

After we throw the bastard out...they are replaced with a new group
    of bastards...

wHich are bought and paid for by the same folks who bought
the last ones. THe golden rule ya know.

OF course it is. IN many cases their jobs outsourced to
former third world countries or replaced by technology.
LIttle incentive to get retrained to enter the new service
economy because the jobs they can get after retraining won't provide them enough to be self supporting.

Imho there's only one thing keeping the whole damned thing
from becoming a gigantic powder keg, and that's apathy.
Easier to sit around and stare at reality tv.

I get it. Just lean over and grab those taxpayer ankles. Because it
would appear that electing a Democrat president who promised "change
we can believe in," hasn't changed a goddamn thing.

OF course it hasn't, and if you actually believed it then
I've got some ocean front property in Kansas City for sale.
As my mama used to say: "Same shit, different day."

Of course I didn't believe it. But, I did hope - if it weren't for hope we'd all go suck our gun barrels. I had some hope for the "hopey - changey" bunch. Mostly because the no-hopers of the other side were demonstrably politically and morally bankrupt.

Hang onto that ocean front property in KC. With the climate change progressing as it is when the polar heat sinks (ice caps) melt it may be on the western shore of the Gulf of Chicago (or Mississippi - pick one).

    ENJOY!!!

Yah I know, they almost had me wishing they weren't talking
out of their nether regions as well, but, then, I"m enough
of a cynic that I buy into little of what I"m fed by big
media and the pols these days.
ONe side wants to give me the polyana view that if I put all my faith and trust
in them it's all gonna be alright, even
without personal freedom and liberty. The other side wants
to use villification and inuendo. Yah quite a choice we're
    offered there.
