From Ross Cassell@1:123/456 to Bob Klahn on Sat Jun 12 21:47:12 2010
    Hello Bob!

10 Jun 10 21:15, you wrote to me:

Why do you think providing information is the same as providing
a weapon? That is toxic thinking. It reveals more about the
speaker than the object of the speech.

Would you have sent a reproduction of your DD214 to anyone
    in Fido?

You still did not answer the question. Why is revealing
information the same as providing a weapon in your thinking?

Because the written message forum, be it here on Fidonet, on a message board on
a web site, comments section on a sports, news, financial site and of course the newsgroups, is the most non-personal form of communication, even with the presence of emoticons.

For example, your writing style as in what you say, how you say it and what your politics are, are infuriating, I tend to view you with that in mind and think that you are hardheaded, obtuse or whatever. However in person or via voice, I am most certain that this perception is less accurate.

You will disagree with my assessment of the method of communication being the poorest venue, because disagreeing with everyone is what you do best.. ;-) (again an observed perception in this particular venue)

What you deem as most desirable is that everything be as portrayed in Mister Roger's neighborhood and that everyone vote hyphen-d.

What Sauer (and W.C.) have done is provide information that can be used against
them, in many causes some not very plausible, in Sauers case, he revealed his real first name and then reveals his own discomfort with it.

By extension, thy prey provided the buttons to press and identified the precise
    buttons to push.

*If* Sauer had not told anyone:

    1. His real first name
    2. That he is on welfare
    3. That he quit the USAF

    Among other things..

He would not have *ever* received the grief he has, as pertaining to the buttons he provided.

Human nature is what it is Bob, and life isnt Mister Rogers neighborhood.

    Sauer did.

Mine is on my website. Not linked, but there.

    Whatever for?
