Ceppa used to do that here, as well.
So you already know them. The two rules you broke have been his rules from
the beginning of the echo. Thanks to Richard, here is the fuller list:

Politics is not a science by any stretch of the imagination. There
have been and are more divergent views on this topic than anything
else except for perhaps religion.
Thus, as typical with the topic at hand, expect to be in heated
debates from time to time. Those exchanges are part of the reason
this Echo was formed.
And, as such, please keep in mind the following rules:
1. Try to maintain a thick skin and keep to the issues to
the subject matter. Flaming fellow posters at any time is
not allowed. You will not always agree on the issues, but at
least take the opportunity to just disagree and be personable
about it.
2. Cross-posted messages from any source must follow within the
Echo's guidelines. Personal grudge matches will not be tolerated.
Find another place to shed and/or have your blood shed.
3. Moderator decisions are final. There will be no discussion of
those rulings in the Echo.
Should you not be able to use Net-mail, state so only and request
another venue. In any event, the Echo is not the place for
the discussion of Moderator rulings.
4. Remember that this is a Fidonet conference, and if you're here
from a different network, like the Internet, you're a guest here,
and this Echo's guidelines are the ultimate authority.
5. The Co-Moderator has full authority to inforce the above rules.
6. The Moderator fully has the right to modify this rule list as
needed.
