I can send and receive netmail and receive net echo mail, but for some reason
I am not getting my replies out from the echo.

getting fidonet echo. But I am not sure I have evrything correct.

I can send and receive netmail and receive net echo mail, but for
some reason I am not getting my replies out from the echo.

I'm using a separate QWK-program to read/reply echo- and net-mail
because I don't like the built-in editor of PCB. All QWK-programs
I know can use an editor of your choice.

First, I download a QWK-packet with PCB to a directory and then I read
and reply to the net- and echo-mail in the packet with the QWK-program.
After finnishing the contents the replies will be sent to (in my case),
the directory that PCB will look for replies to upload.

Then I order PCB to upload the new packet for transmitting it to my Fido
host, next time I connect (poll) him.

Do you have your echos/conferences set up properly, and set to Fido? Are you using the built in Fido mailer, or something else? Intermail does PCB natively.

Yes I used Rex until very recently myself. My Intermail (like Front Door - pretty much the same base code) is registered, but I stopped using it because I wanted a 32 bit front end so that POTS calls could be treated like Telnet calls. Thus I am using Taurus for incoming POTS calls. At the time, PCB stopped being developped due to Clark Dev. going bankrupt, any further web based development disappeared, including thoughts of telnet. There was a means, but it cost a bunch of money at the time. I believe that option is still available, but not sure if it cost money any more.

Well I am using Net2BBS and NetFoss. I have a couple of doors running and
will add more. The only thing lacking is PCB does not support door32.sys. I have a door that uses it and it is handy but not critical.

I have a registered version of IRex. I got PCB to send out echo mail. This message should have tag line from this bbs.

for Windows.

There is, or at least were, two versions for Windows, a console and a
GUI version. The one I have in my BBS is a test version of the console
version, named "TSECON44.ZIP". There is also a test version of the GUI

that version, but then for v.2 they changed programming language and I
never delved into that code.

As I recall PCB would only work at sending out mail with a front end. The latest version I believe would accept calls, but no longer sure if it would actually dial out or not.

Hmm, well I've got echomail set up on my PCBoard BBS at
os2bbs.rivernet.us. Netmail, too, using PCboard's internal Fido
routines.

After checking through my diskettes, I saw that you have already got the
full documentation, from Ben Ritchey, but since I haven't implemented
that protocol into PCB, I don't have the documentation for that.

Regarding Netmail, I have the same setup as Ruben.

Using IRex with the built in Fido mailer. I have conferences set to 5 and I have addded my uplink in the user database and have an R next to each confernce.
