Check out the US 99 menu above for links to information about US Highway 99, after which the US 99 BBS is named.
Be sure to click on the Amateur Radio menu item above for packet BBSes, packet software, packet organizations, as well as packet how-to's. Also included is links to local and some not-so-local Amateur Radio Clubs.
Is it possible to run a test net for playing with out running a BBS software? Kind of wanting to skip the menus for screenreaders/tts
devices. Is there a good reason for ftn vs qwk?
Also what does it mean for a ftp based feed? One of the othernets on
here said that they host nodes via a ftp link.
Hello Seth,I'm running linux so it would have to be a linux software.

You could get yourself a point and do it that way. A point software has a mailer and message reader so you basically do what a BBS does (toss & scan messages) without a BBS.
QWK is simpler. You can use any QWK reader.
WinPoint might be a good place to start, you can grab it from..
http://winpoint.org down at the bottom of that page.

That just means they transfer mail and files using ftp instead of a mailer.
