I have seen discussion a year or more back about this; can anyone give me some current
    suggestions?

    Thanks.

    What do you search?
    * an application to listen mp3? http://ecomstation.ru/la-la-la -> PM123
    * or mp3 player visible to eCS as USBMSD device? http://ecomstation.ru/hardware.php?action=category&section=disk

I don't know specifically what you need but I am basically happy with
    this one: <http://www.amazon.com/Exclusive-Pro-Ebiz-LLC-Player/dp/B001FVWGW8?&camp=212361&linkCode=wsw&tag=warpstockcorp-20&creative=380801>
The built in speaker is not worth anything and I am really only seeing
11G instead of 16G on mine but after partitioning it and then formatting
it FAT32 again it works well with OS/2.
The camera is OK and the video is alright but it doesn't catch audio
with the video well because the camera is on the back and the mic is in
    the front.
It does MP3 and WMA but unfortunately not AAC. I certainly have had
fewer problems with it than I did with my RCA unit that did not work
with OS/2 (constantly had to wipe the whole thing by reinstalling the firmware... this one I should be able to do the firmware without wiping
the device but haven't needed to in the ~9 months that I have had it.

    The mp3 devices.

Unfortunately, anything that didn't get a bad rating on that site seems to no longer be available:-(

Nice, but I don't really want a camera or video. That looks like an Itouch wannabe. I'm looking
for a simple audio only device.

There are very few personal problems that cannot be solved by a suitable
    application of high explosives.

I don't really make use of camera or video either (although as it has it
I will occasionally use it as without a cell phone I have no camera in
it) but I went with it primarily for the 16G and ability to add another
4G SD card. I haven't really come across an MP3 only device with that
size (with 15M per MP3 I am using nearly 7G at this point).
