• [OS2HW] AMOUSE - USB/PS2 KVM related problem

From "conixks1"@1:3634/1000 to All on Thu Jul 12 16:01:11 2012

    Everyone,

I'm hoping the AMOUSE folks will get this message and see if they might look into solving this problem.

I have a couple of mice over the years that are USB. I used a USB/PS2 converter to connect the mice up to a Belkin KVM (VGA/PS2).

When the mice are connected through the KVM, the wheel no longer works. If I hook up that same mouse through USB skipping the KVM, the wheel works just fine.

When the mice are hooked up through the KVM, other OSs see and manage the wheel
just fine. To me, this suggests that the signal is there. It is just that the AMOUSE driver no longer finds that signal when the mouse is connected in this fashion.

It is my hope that perhaps the AMOUSE folks can look at their driver and see if
they can update it to find that wheel signal so that the wheel would work with my connection setup.

    Thanks,
    Mark Vollmer
