    We have had discussions of the USS Liberty before in Fido. For
    those who may not know, that was a US Navy Intel ship sailing
    off the coast of Israel during the 1967 war. It was attacked by
    Israeli aircraft and torpedo boats, with major damage and the
    loss of 34 killed and 171 wounded.

    This lad is a well-known conspiracy theorist.

    Israeli war planes deliberately attacked a United States
    ship, knowing full well it was an American ship.

    At the time of that attack, it was known by many of much
    higher rank than `you' ever achieved, that it was a
    deliberate attack.

    That incident alone should have ended any relationship with
    Israel the United States had.

    Had it done so.....there probably would not have been any
    9\11 attack on America.

    That is a possibility. Even if there were one, we would probably
    have had much more support from countries in the Middle East.
    And much less of a push for the invasion of Iraq, and an
    invasion of Iran.
