    Suppose Obama said this:

"We issued an open invitation for the press (except for Fox)."

What would the right-wingers do? They'd scream their heads off, saying
    Obama wants to censor Fox.

You're slow on the uptake, Ar-Kay, BHO already tried that and the other networks said no dice.

In fact, BHO's now former Communications Director resigned in shame for her war
    with FNN.

It would just *KILL* you to even say "oops," wouldn't it?

You've read her book, have you, AR-KAY?

No. But the Associated Press has. They found tons of absolute
    bullshit
    in

That's what I figured, AR-KAY. You don't strike me as someone who
    reads a
    lot of books.

He "reads" the books that have pictures.

I like where I live, but it would be so nice to have an adult
conversation on the events of the day.Even literary subjects only draw
    blank looks. :)

It's a sign of the times. With tabloid style news, instant
communications (twitter, SMS/MMS etc.) people are not kept abreast of current events, and when they are, they seem to get only one side of the issue. As for literary subjects, fewer and fewer people have the inclination to read a book. They'll watch the movie and if it doesn't
come out as a movie, it isn't interesting enough for them.

As an example of blank looks; A very young looking older guy here was the topic
of conversation and I asked him if he had a painting in his attic. Stunned silence.

Dorian Grey has been a character in more than one movie, the most recent being The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen. You'd think the guy would have picked up
    on the reference.
