the telnet and binkp protocols built into PX/Wins. But, the way Hector ->-> is, I doubt we will see that happening anytime in the near or distant
future.
Both Andrea and Hector have said to me, right over the phone, that PXW
is done. It will never be upgraded and never again supported by them.
This does not sound good to me, but again, it is more along the way ->Winserver is going, Not too much in the Fidonet or msg network way.
Mostly focusing on email stuff only. Including mailing lists etc. So one ->never knows, but I don't think there is any plans beyond the PXW package ->unless someone else writes it for network type messaging.

Hector ->-> is, I doubt we will see that happening anytime in the near
distant ->-> future.
atHave you noticed that the PXW conferences have recently disapeared
supportSantronics?
When I asked Andrea about it she said she would have to ask tech
actively(Hector?) what happened, I have yet to hear back an answer, I was
therehelping someone in the conference get it setup when this happened so
is activity for new users of PXW.
Hi Lee... I honestly don't know the answer to that. I only know that shecame
right out when I asked her for help in setting it up, that she said they donot
support it anymore, She actually sent me to poor Janis who wondered whyI was
bothering her when I first set it up. And if I am not mistaken it almostwhoever
sounded as if it was a 3rd party problem, like it wasn't their baby and
was working on PXW is now not there or something like that. She just saidit
was done and would not be supported by them on the bbs or over thephone.
Although it was a rough ride trying to get the version 2 and do all thatneeded
to be done to bring it up to speed and to version 3. It was a nightmare. Ikey.
found out later that was mainly because the key she gave me was a bad
Changed it and it all worked fine. I know IREX does not seem to besupported,
but knock on wood ( my head just got wrapped ) I haven't had much of aproblem
with that since the day I set it up. Not with it working or registering it.PXW
is nice, but if it is not going to be supported, my question is, who or what
going to take the place of it? I never got a clear answer on that, just aquick
snap of a reply. I still think they are getting away from networking typestuff
in winserver. Just my hunch. I have always wondered why there has notbeen any
real support in like Fidonet. It is hurting the product, but is also thefact
that hobbyist sysops on fidonet is not their target market. I dunno..
Have a good One!

They probably think that BBSing is dead and that there is no more of a ->hobbyist need for their product anymore so they effectively dropped the ->product line. Which is really sad, IMO, since I think PXWins could
end up being as good a product as WINS is. Again, just my opinion.

"Whoever was working on PXW?" I thought Hector wrote that as well? It ->would be totally awesome if the person who WAS working on it would leak
out the source code or something for it ;)

I would have to agree with you on this point.
