The Supreme Court has declined to get involved in a new dispute over a Ten Commandments display on public property.it
The justices on Monday left in place a lower court decision that a Ten Commandments marker in Haskell County, Okla., must go.
The 8-foot-tall stone monument has been on the county courthouse lawn in Stigler, Okla., since 2004. A federal appeals court ruled last year that
amounts to an unconstitutional endorsement of religion by the county commission.

Try real hard to explain why this is a good thing. Consider first that
the original intent of the First Amendment was a FEDERAL guarantee of freedom of religion that did NOT supersede individual state
constitutions. In fact, the MA constitution originally provided for a state church.

I've seen photos of the stone plaque.
It's a Protestant version of the original 10 Commandments.
This Oklahoma town was saying to Catholics and Jews, not to mention Muslims, Buddhists, atheists, and others, "You don't count."
There's a group trying to oust an elected state congressman in North Carolina, because he doesn't believe in God.
This is obviously a government endorsement of *ONE* version of a
religion.
And the Oklahoma Supreme Court, hardly a "leftist" organization, said it was unconstitutional.
The US Supreme Court, again, hardly a "leftist" organization, has let
the ruling stand.
You want "One nation under God?"
Move to Iran.

Dont you find it ironic that the Supreme Court Justices are:
Assholes when they make a decision you disagree with?
and
Heroes when they make a decision you agree with?
