    I would have to say, having read it twice, that the bible is not literal enough. That's just me. The way I see it, there is a good theme to
    the
    bible, but there were a lot of circumstances that differed from this
    instance
    and that instance.

    Just my point of view.

    If this were to be an objection, the same could be applied to Homer and his Iliad, Milton with his Paradise Lost...

    Genesis is poetry...Job is Prose in poetic form...etc.,and some of the wars
    to proclaim the might and power of Jehovah are nothing short of nasty.
