• Still No Solution To File Manager Issue

From Jeff Snyder@1:345/3777 to All on Mon Mar 7 04:56:00 2011
An update to my previous post...

I decided to use the File Manager to delete all of the files in the directory where I am having this problem.

After doing so, I logged on to the BBS from another machine on our LAN.

I went to the file directory where I am having the problem, and I tried using /uploadall" command, as per the instructions that are found in the
    14-year-old Hermes 3.5.2 docs.

The command appears to no longer work, even after several tries. Nothing was uploaded.

So, I went back over to the host machine, opened the File Manager window, and manually uploaded all of the files again.

Those same four files are still showing the dash/negative sign near the file size, and Hermes still reports the file size as being 1k when I log on to the BBS, and list files in that directory.

There may be other directories where this same problem is occurring. I haven't really checked to find out yet.

    Any ideas anyone?

    Thanks!

No new ideas (beyond my previous post), but I am glad to hear this really only seems to be affecting a small number of directories, not all of them.

The only other thing I can think of is that maybe there are some invisible characters being picked up in the filename that are interefering with Hermes ability to process them. Is that possible?
