Finally, you claim that God placed all of His wrath for our sins upon Jesus. Can you please provide me with a verse where this is plainly stated in the Scriptures? I am aware of none. Yes, I fully agree that God made Jesus "to
be sin for us, who knew no sin", but I am not aware of any verses where we
are told that God placed all of His Wrath on Jesus. You also claim that Christ's Sacrifice "forever satisfied God's wrath". Again I ask: If that is truly the case -- it isn't -- how do you explain 70 AD? Howe do you explain
the Book of Revelation which is filled with Wrath? How do you explain verses like the following? If God's Wrath was forever satisfied, then none of what these verses say should even be happening, and no one should end up outside
of the Heavenly City, or worse, tossed into the Lake of Fire. I have
purposely only chosen verses from the New Testament, for your sake, to prove
my point:
"Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and MANY there be which go in thereat:"
Matthew 7:13, KJV
". . . he that cometh after me . . . will throughly purge his floor, and
gather his wheat into the garner; but he will burn up the chaff with unquenchable fire."
Matthew 3:11b-12, KJV
". . . He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; The field is the
world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the
harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As
therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in
the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; And shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth."
Matthew 13:37b-42, KJV
"It is a fearful thing to fall into the hands of the living God . . . For
our God is a consuming fire."
Hebrews 10:31, 12:29, KJV
"He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth
not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him."
John 3:36, KJV
"For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in unrighteousness;"
Romans 1:18, KJV
"Let no man deceive you with vain words: for because of these things cometh
the wrath of God upon the children of disobedience."
Ephesians 5:6, KJV
"And said to the mountains and rocks, Fall on us, and hide us from the face
of him that sitteth on the throne, and from the wrath of the Lamb: For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?"
Revelation 6:16-17, KJV
"The same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall be tormented
with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels, and in the
presence of the Lamb . . . And the angel thrust in his sickle into the
earth, and gathered the vine of the earth, and cast it into the great
winepress of the wrath of God."
Revelation 14:10, 19, KJV
"And I saw another sign in heaven, great and marvellous, seven angels having the seven last plagues; for in them is filled up the wrath of God . . . And
one of the four beasts gave unto the seven angels seven golden vials full of the wrath of God, who liveth for ever and ever."
Revelation 15:1, 7, KJV
"And I heard a great voice out of the temple saying to the seven angels, Go your ways, and pour out the vials of the wrath of God upon the earth . . .
And the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the
nations fell: and great Babylon came in remembrance before God, to give unto her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of his wrath."
Revelation 16:1, 19, KJV
"And out of his mouth goeth a sharp sword, that with it he should smite the nations: and he shall rule them with a rod of iron: and he treadeth the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God."
Revelation 19:15, KJV
"And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the
lake of fire."
Revelation 20:15, KJV
"But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death."
Revelation 21:8, KJV
BTW, if you really doubt that someday God is going to severely judge America for her many sins against Him and against the rest of the world, I can only conclude that you are living under some very strong delusion. God bless America? I don't think so.
I could go on and on, but this has already grown quite lengthy, and
exchanges of this length should really be reserved for the Endtime Prophecy
Net Messageboard.
Please ponder my words. I have no more to say concerning this issue. Again, please study my articles if you want things explained to you verse-by-verse. This current response is simply a short recap of many things that I already explain in my articles. Thanks!
