    Universal Reconciliation - Universal Atonement

    Last Updated : July 25, 2006

"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we
were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Much more then, being
now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath
through him. For if, when we were enemies, we were
reconciled to God by the death of his Son, much more, being
reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so,
but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by
whom we have now received the atonement."
    Romans 5:8-11, KJV

"For if the casting away of them [the Jews] be the
reconciling of the world, what shall the receiving of them
be, but life from the dead?"
    Romans 11:15, KJV

"And all things are of God, who hath reconciled us to
himself by Jesus Christ, and hath given to us the ministry
of reconciliation; To wit, that God was in Christ,
reconciling the world unto himself, not imputing their
trespasses unto them; and hath committed unto us the word of
reconciliation. Now then we are ambassadors for Christ, as
though God did beseech you by us: we pray you in Christ's
stead, be ye reconciled to God."
    2 Corinthians 5:18-20, KJV

"And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by
the cross, having slain the enmity thereby:"
    Ephesians 2:16, KJV

"And, having made peace through the blood of his cross, by
him to reconcile all things unto himself; by him, I say,
whether they be things in earth, or things in heaven. And
you, that were sometime alienated and enemies in your mind
by wicked works, yet now hath he reconciled In the body of
his flesh through death, to present you holy and unblameable
    and unreproveable in his sight:"
    Colossians 1:20-22, KJV

"Wherefore in all things it behoved him to be made like unto
his brethren, that he might be a merciful and faithful high
priest in things pertaining to God, to make reconciliation
for the sins of the people. For in that he himself hath
suffered being tempted, he is able to succour them that are
tempted. Wherefore, holy brethren, partakers of the heavenly
calling, consider the Apostle and High Priest of our
    profession, Christ Jesus;"
    Hebrews 2:17-3:1, KJV
