Severe Floods - Signs Of Global Warming?

Massive flooding continues in the news. As you will have undoubtedly already heard by now, the Australian northeastern state of Queensland has been inundated by what has been described as once-in-a-century floods.
Approximately 200,000 people have been affected in an area about the size of the American states of Texas and Oklahoma combined. That is a lot of
territory folks! According to one Australian writer, despite their losses
and the disruption to their lives, the people of Queensland are taking the flooding in stride, and life will go on once the rains stop, and the waters recede.
To the north, in the Philippines -- a nation which is constantly ravaged by powerful typhoons -- or hurricanes, as they are known in other areas of the world -- severe flooding in the eastern regions of Visayas, Bicol and
Caraga, resulting from abnormally heavy rains since this past December, has resulted in over 450,000 people being displaced. In all, the lives of over 880,000 people have been affected, and there have been about thirty-three reported deaths thus far.
Considering all of the other severe flooding that has been occurring in
other areas of the world in recent years -- such as China and India -- I
can't help but believe that we seeing more effects of Global Warming and Climate Change.
As I have mentioned to my regular readers before, even in our own area of
the world, it is quite evident that weather patterns are changing. When I
first arrived here twenty-five years ago, hurricanes -- some of them
extremely powerful -- were a very common occurrence; almost yearly in fact. Their frequency became so bad, that some people began to pack their bags and move elsewhere, because one's nerves can only take so much repeated
hurricane damage, and extended water and power outages, before he throws up
his hands in frustration and quits. As much as I enjoy living here, I myself considered doing the same thing at one point. One more powerful hurricane,
and that would have been it for me.
However, for the past full eight years, something very unusual has happened.
We haven't had a single hurricane strike, not a one. While I am extremely thankful to the Lord for this reprieve, yet at the same time, as a long-time resident here, I know that this is not normal. Something is causing this changed weather pattern; and in my view, it can only be Global Warming and Climate Change.
But, as some of my readers will already know, that is not the only reason
why I personally believe that Global Warming is real. In the Book of
Revelation we find the following verses, which may be hinting at just such a thing:
"And the fourth angel poured out his vial upon the sun; and power was given unto him to scorch men with fire. And men were scorched with great heat, and blasphemed the name of God, which hath power over these plagues: and they repented not to give him glory." Revelation 16:8-9, KJV
There are only a few ways that I can think of interpreting those verses. Consider the following:
1. They are describing our Sun going nova or supernova.
2. They are describing Global Warming.
3. They are describing the destruction of the Ozone Layer.
What do you think?
