I've been unsettled in deciding what boards to use,
and use for what. Now that I've been here a while
it is clearer to me what boards offer what and I can
make up my mind and possibly make use of an off-line
    reader.

:) I can highly recommend the Bluewave one... it reads QWK as well as
    the proprietary Bluewave packets... :)

I set up my computer so I can automatically change between
three different telnet clients and made adjustments to
my network parameters, particularly in my router. After that
bout, I went looking for an off-line reader. I found two
in my archives and one looks particularly nice. Now I just
have to figure out how to use it. <g> I think FTP is probably
the easiest way up and down.

Maybe it would be for you. For me, regular up and downloading with
    zmodem works just fine. :)

PS: I would like to change the title of this post to
"Off-Line Readers", but there doesn't seem to be any
    way from here.

Dunno if there is, when you are doing things online... but it's easy
enough to do with an offline reader... :) One probably has to do the
change of the title when one is setting up the message (that's the
easiest way offline, too). Editing a reply often only works offline. :)
