    Hello all;

Been reading this area for sometime, and even replied to a few
but today, I saw something pretty sick and it innvolves the
Winter Olympics that ended in Canada's British Columbia.

They had offer to visitors Dog Sled rides, and well we have them
here in Ontario ....but after the winter games, and the World
went home, and the media left... 300 Dogs were painfully killed.

I am not going into the details, but CANADA should be ashamed.

    Peter

The cull was disgraceful. I think the business should be shut down and its owners should be banned from owning dogs for life, people would of rushed to adopt these dogs
if there was an outcry for them, and if worse came to worse they would of been put down humanely instead of being
    sent to being slaughtered.

NOTE: Sorry about this ...It was rushed and was on the radio as
I was reading this area..... there were 300 dogs but
100 needed to be located to homes etc...and well the business was
owned by another and part of...well bottomline is 100 dogs
that could have had homes and seen many people looking for
these types of dogs.... they were slaughter in a messy way
so no discriptions as too painful. Buried in a remote area
which they hope to get to sometime and clean up.

This thanks to the VANCOVER Winter Games 2010 ... same games
where that luge racer was killed on a track that was wrong.

OK...Matt...sorry to you and all for the 300..when only 100
    but 1 too many.

I agree. There is an investigation going on in British Columbia
by the Province, and charges pending.

What is so obvious is there was homes open to these animals.

Just another example of profit and of course that if this happens
to an animal ..then I pray he or they are not my neighbours
as they are capable of doing this to anyone.

It ruined the games for me... No good memorys now...I don't
even want to ..and will not watch a special on TV about them
    after this.

Organizers should be ashamed of their 2010 Winter Games

    ttfn
