• Al Gore in hiding!

From TIM RICHARDSON@1:123/140 to ALL on Mon Jan 4 10:03:00 2010

Hey.....how's that `global warming' coming along for you? Had to refurbish
    your air conditioners yet?

Here's a few `global warming' headlines from around the nation:

`Temps plunge to records as cold snap freezes North, East states.'

Vermont set `all-time record for one snowstorm'.

Iowa temps `a solid 30 degrees below normal'.

Peru's mountain people `face extinction because of cold conditions'.

    Bejing------coldest in 40 years!

    World copes with arctic weather.

I haven't heard anything from AlGore on this record cold weather thing. Has anyone else?

Wonder where he's hiding right now. Keepin' a real low profile, ain't he?

No kidding. Sunday night tied the record for the lowest temp for that
date - minus 15F (fortunately no wind to lower the chill factor). Monday's high was plus four and the temperature outside right now is minus 10F.
It's supposed to warm up to a daily high of plus 20F by Monday next week.

Fortunately I got most of the windows replaced and the siding tightened, my fuel usage is running between 1/2 and 2/3 what it was last winter - and
the thermostat is set ten degrees higher this year.

There's a four foot drift of snow about 15 feet in front of my house, and another one in the dogs' kennel. The dogs could and did walk across the top
of the kennel fence on top of the snow; I had to dig a four foot deep by four foot wide by thirty feet long trench in the drift along the kennel side of the fence. More snow on tap this afternoon and tomorrow...

It's warming up now, but here in Dallas we had record snowfall (14 inches)

    Amazing.
