Michael Moore Says Gun Owners are Racists.....?

simple. In a recent interview with MSNBC's Richard Maddow,
Michael Moore stated that people own guns because they are
racist. He prefaced his comments with this:

This is such a gross distortion as to qualify as a lie.

Rather than see the absurdity in answering his own
question, Michael Moore went on to explain that the only
reason Americans own guns is due to their racist fear of
black people breaking into their homes: "That imaginary
person that's going to break into your home and kill you.
Who does that man look like? You know, it's not
freckle-faced Jimmy down the street is it?"

What Moore really said was, the homebreaker is poor or
non-white. He said there is a *CLASS* and racial aspect to the
fear. He emphasized the poor as a source of fear. Oh, and the
word "class" was actually in his statement. As was "the poor",
and "people of color". Nowhere is the word black.

Many places in this country the feared minority is hispanic. In
some places it's Native American or even Asian. Yes, there are
Asian gangs. And there are white gangs, though they are probably
making more money off drugs. Just my guess.

Of course, Michael Moore and Maddow then went on to cite
the fallacy that a gun owner is more likely to be disarmed
and have their gun used against them in a self-defense
situation. No facts or logic need apply. They sort of hop-

Again he lies. Maddow did not say any part of that, and Moore
said in about 1/3rd or so, note not an exact figure, the
victim is killed with a weapon the criminal *found* or took
away from the homeowner. The 1/3rd was his aproximation.

Not more likely, but 1/3rd of the time. Far under 50%.

scotched the actual research in order to get to the part
where they call all of the middle-American gun-owners
nothing more than racists.

And that is far enough out to call a lie. He said the fear of
homebreakers is largely due to fear of class and race. The poor
and the non-white.

Note also, it's handguns that he is talking about. He is not
talking about hunting rifles. Not even assault weapons in this
case.

Let me be the first to say, that I own a gun. I've never
thought myself to be a racist but maybe today, Maddow and
Moore have proven me wrong. Perhaps they've proven us all
wrong.

No, he's just an elitist who thinks poor people are out to get
him. Maybe because he deserves it.

What say you, other gun owners out there? Do you own guns
simply because you're filthy racists?

And do you listen to liars like Stephen Crowder.

Moore and Maddow are betting you do.
