    One of the goals of the Army for decades has been to
    provide the latest high tech equipment to reduce the danger
    to soldiers on the battlefield. You don't get that kind of
    technology without spending money, and if the technology is
    breaking new ground, it isn't cheap. I can think of half a
    dozen weapons programs that would save lives on the
    battlefield that were killed by bleeding heart liberal
    assholes who want to give the money to their liberal
    cronies instead of provide the military with better
    equipment.

    Good, list them.

    I'd rather spend it there than on all the lazy bastards
    sucking at the federal welfare trough.

    Agreed. The US Government's #1 job is to protect this
    country from both external and internal threats.
    Everything else is second. The top priority isn't even
    getting done properly as noted by the huge and growing
    population of illegals in this country. The only thing
    that has slowed it down is our bad economy, so some are
    leaving..

    That plus the Obama administration is doing a lot of the work
    Bush never would do. That includes deporting more, and raiding
    employers and hitting the employers not just the illegals. Oh,
    and the Obama administration increased the numbers of Border
    patrol working to stop the illegals.

    The House GOP wants to cut border patrol funding.
