    We both know that.

But zombie lies like this one are just about unkillable, in the right-wing.

I read today that union thugs and their democrat supporters did $7.5
million damage to their state capitol. I cannot imagine in my
    wildest
    imagination damaging our capitol building.

I read just now that you are smearing decent union workers and
    their supporters.

When a republican makes any such estimate just assume it's a
lie. Which it is in this case. Seems even the state backed off
on that when a state official responsible for building maintence
pointed out that 95% of that estimate was for renovations
planned before the protests took place. Then the remaining 5%
    shrunk to half that.

That involved profession restorers who said the repairs needed
were actually cleanup. Seems just touching the walls requires
cleaning. They said to use a cleaner that was essentially...nail
    polish remover.

Then the painters and stone masons chimed in. They report all
that needs cleaning is some tape residue, which they do all the
time. A water based cleaner takes it off easily.

In the meantime about 60% of Wisconsinites support the union.
That and some of the republican senators, 4 at last count, are
considered in danger of bolting from Walker's program. Then
don't want the disaster Walker is bringing on them.

They probably rationalized that Federal Funds would pay for the damages?

Probably, and while Wisconsinites trash Otto's capitol,
this is going on in Klan's front yard...

You are a nasty little boy, you know that dont' you?

Sen. Sherrod Brown (D-Ohio), under heat for invoking Adolf
Hitler in talking about anti-union movements in his home
state and Wisconsin, has apologized for making the
comparison on the Senate floor. "I am passionate about

It was just a bit extreme, just a bit.

And speaking of union thugs and their democrat supporters
trashing the capitol, I am reminded that Cigar Willy's
staff trashed the White House as they were leaving. Let

And that never happened. As you should well know by now. It was
    a republican lie.

Republicans act like this and the New York Times would lose
    its goddam mind.

Since democrats *DON'T* act like that, it's not ok when
    Republicans do it.

Michigan's GOP wants to raise taxes, yes, I said RAISE taxes on the poor
    and elderly.

To give corporations big tax breaks.

The Wisconsin/Michigan/Ohio GOP is the greatest thing to come along for the democrats in decades.

Bank of America just tagged me on a new $3.00 fee for an "image charge."

I have to drop the paper bank statements in order to lose that one.
Of course this targets the poor and disabled disproportionately who may not have
    online access.

Then too were one to drop it paper statements the likelyhood of
    bouncing a check goes up.

As I have to slice the pie thin some months that three dollar charge almost cost me a bounced check or ATM overdraft charge.

As a matter of curiousity I wonder just how many millions
of dollars BoA makes off of this dodge?

It DID prevent me from setting up a Skype account to reschedule a doctors appointment and that runs into more $$$ and a somewhat more dire issue.

These little charges can seem insignificant taken in isolation
however when taken as a whole on a national level they add up to serious cash.

It reminds me of my grandfather and his policy of paying bills at the
last minute because as he put it better he collect the interest on it
    than some utility company.

I used Bank of America a long time ago. They were very strict about checking accounts. When they recieved my checks to be processed and honored, they would look at the date on the check and compare that with my account *on that date*.

Never mind that, when they recieved the check to honor it, my account had more than sufficient funds to cover it....but what the account had in it on the *date* at the top of the check. And if the funds weren't there to cover it on *that* date.....they'd bounce it back to the person it was written to!

I'd sit down and write my monthly checks the night before payday, put that day's date on the checks, and drop them in the mail the next day *after* I had deposited my paycheck. They'd bounce the whole lot of them!

When I went in and talked to a manager about it and found out what they were doing, I went right over to a teller, deposited the exact amount that would give me an even amount in twenty dollar increments in the account, went out
the door to their ATM, withdrew all my money and have never done business with them again.

For months afterward they sent me a statement of charge for *closing* the account!

They have many subtle little ways of *mining* money out of people. Someone in your circumstance should not be using Bank of America. Find yourself a different bank.

It's just this one instance so far so I'll just cancel the paper statements.

Should another incident arise I'll move my account as I've already
investigated local banks should this become necessary.

I'll also cancel the disability insurance as carrying that $1.68 a month
    charge is just pointless.

I'd let it ride for a time but quite some time ago discovered it was not
    a term life policy.

    That needs to go.

Other than that I've never had a problem with them.
In fact other than that I've been well served.

Of course back then I was in a better situation and carrying a
    larger balance.

    That said, things change.

Its just one more way B of A uses to *mine* customers for extra money.

At any decent bank, you can access your accounts over the InterNet, move money around in your accounts, pull up images of your checks for the past three calender months, even print out the image on your desktop, and at no extra charge whatever.

I'll also cancel the disability insurance as carrying that $1.68 a month WC>charge is just pointless.

I have life insurance through my bank.

Maybe he has never heard of the Kelo case?

Apparently not. The Kelo's lost their land that had been in

When the govt pulled eminent domaine in Toledo for the benefit

Here's a hint, Ralph Nader. Is that enough of a hint?

Now you must support eminent domaine for private corporations

British Columnist Under Investigation For Criticizing
    Terrorists

by Melanie Phillips Mar 26th 2011 at 11:49 am in Europe,
    Featured Story,

In Great Britain, the historic cradle of liberty and
sanctum of freedom of expression, it appears that you can
no longer refer to Arab depravity in the slaughter of an
Israeli family - including a three month-old baby - as they
slept without someone going to the police to get you
    arrested for racism.

For centuries any bad act by a Jew was slimed against all
Jews. Any bad act by a black man became a smear against all
blacks. Now Melanie Phillips sees nothing wrong with a crime by
someone who might be an Arab as reason to accuse all Arabs of
depravity. She refers to Arabs as being all savages.

I have long held the law should be very restricted in regulating
speech, and have criticised European laws that ban attacks
    against foreign heads of state.

That does not change the fact that Melanie Philips has displayed
    exceptionally disgusting behavior.
