I've only just recently added the Rose bot
to my BBS TG group and being able to mute users is one of the options.

No. I'm not real big on censorship. As long as it's on-topic there's no reason folks shouldn't be able to say what they want. I'm more talking about spam that doesn't belong, or links to pictures and sites with no context to back it up.

No. I'm not real big on censorship. As long as it's on-
topic there's no reason folks shouldn't be able to say
what they want. I'm more talking about spam that doesn't
belong, or links to pictures and sites with no context to
back it up.

The mute can be implemented until that person understands that
being on-topic is essential.

Personally, I find that kind of feature to be a very good tool
for a moderator managing a user on Telegram. Fidonet doesn't
have any easy equivalent to that - except for posting repeated
requests to stop, or inform all the bbs systems in the feeds
to cut the person off - which is a lot of time and work.
