Does anyone here had real
expirience with the PDP-11 machines and can suggest good starting OS?
Any sugggestions are welcome as well as any docs/refrences/etc :)
hello guest
Telnet to gnappy.bizzi.org , username guest, password luther, you can login with "hello guest" :)Oh, that's nice! I'll give it a try (actially, already did), but guess need to read some manuals first as I couldn't make it beyond 'dir' :^)
For the references, I think that the best places are bitsavers, ftp://ftp.update.uu.se , http://mim.update.uu.se ,Thanks a lot! This a pretty good starting point, will keep digging from there...

I'm writing a tutorial on my website http://mimac.bizzi.org , butAh, so you won't mind if I bother you time to time when I'll come to running my rig, not just soldering it, would you?
sorry, it's only in italian. :)
I'm building PDP-11 scaled down replica using PiDP-11 kit, which eventually will be able to run multiple OS (emulted by simh) back from
the days - from RT-11 to Unix v7 to BSD 2.x. Does anyone here had real expirience with the PDP-11 machines and can suggest good starting OS?

I also built the PiDP11/70 Replica a few weeks ago and it worked great. Starting OS could be RT-11 or 2.11 BSD. Should be the easiest OS to start with.
