    Hi Glenn,

Does having four cats qualify me for this conference? LOL

I thought I was the only one mad enough to keep 4 cats in one house.. <grin>

Right now we only have two, though...

Do your 4 get along? Three of mine pushed the 4th one out by contantly growling, spitting, etc. - they were all from the same litter, but you wouldn't think that, seeing how they acted towards each other after they 'grew up'.

    :)

    Take care,

hehe.. neat :) Over here, the 3 dogs have a dog door... the cats use it sometimes. I've found birds inside too, but I they escaped from the cats :) That's always fun to resolve before the dogs grab the bird <g>

Most of the time. Amber, my girl is 12. Barnie, my one eyed boy is 6 and the two youngest we adopted last year are just over a year old and they're brothers. Amber of course is the "Boss", although she really doesn't bother with any of them. She just hangs out with Mom & Dad. Barnie bugs her once and while. He's a special needs fella and my wife calls him a "Love Bug" since he curls up on her and sleeps. The two youngest, M (short for Max) and Simba, well, they just do what all year old cats do, get into things and bug Amber when they think they can get away with it. Simba usually is the one trying to aggravate her and gets hissed at, with the occasional swat of the paw. Just like human children. Thank goodness we don't actually have any human kids.... these guys are enough, especially at my age.

My Grandmother, who lived in the city of Scranton PA, used to take her kitty out with a leash. At the time (I was a teenager then <grin>) I thought it was great, because my own cat didn't even like her collar and always feisted her way out of it :)

it's in the car, a kennel, latched in with a seat belt.

A kennel is the best way it seeems to get my girls to the vet, etc. I think they would chew and claw their way through a seat belt (or try any way <grin>)

I can picture that ... the wise elder.. <grin>

They sound like great companions, and it's really nice that Barnie likes to curl up on your wife's lap.. I _almost_ convinced Lulu to sit on my lap the other day ... I know that sounds strange for a cat.. We got this litter from Ithaca's Humane Society - they were rescued at some point as 4 feral kittens with no mom.. The first year we had them, they refused to let anyone touch them
at all. That was a little frustrating because they were so darn cute. I encouraged them to play at least, with string and catnip toys :)

Now, once in a while Lulu will sleep on the couch, and if you're sitting there she actually will 'get close' and sometimes will rub her nose on you <g> Lola however couldn't be bothered. She too busy guarding the house I guess.

when they think they can get away with it. Simba usually is the one trying to aggravate her and gets hissed at, with the occasional swat of the paw. Just like human children. Thank goodness we don't actually have any human kids.... these guys are enough, especially at my age.

    :)

We laugh sometimes because when Lola gets in that hissy-mode, she sometimes doesn't even look to see who's there that she's hissing at. One day, one of my
pups just walked by her and she hissed at the dog. Then she realized it wasn't
the other cat and took off fast :)

    Take care,

hehe.. I know what you mean there <bg>. We've been lucky, our kitties at worst
bat the ornaments around, maybe even try to knock them off so the dogs can grab
them.. I find a few on the living room floor every day when I get up..
