    Completely off-topic, but I think you'll find this funny. I have a sign over my BBS that I picked up from Ack Radio Supply Company (www.acksupply.com), a big electronics parts warehouse that I dealt with when I worked for a satellite

    Yessir; I'm running Win7 64-bit as the host and Kubuntu 9.04 in a VirtualBox VM. :)

    That sign was often found next to IBM m/f's eg, 370's to help stop visitors pressing any console buttons and causing major problems.

    Quite a few sites had them, here in the UK in the 70/80's and obviously elsewhere throughtout the world (alright may be not Germany or France, lack of suitable humour).

    i'd like to locate the accurate german writing of the sign... google translate can only handle part of it and i suspect because of missing high-ascii characters replaced by low-ascii ones :?

    i think it would make a nice addition to my random quotes file ;)

    The thing is, it's actually not real German. It's "made up" because of an English sign the Germans had years ago. I've not time right now to look it up on the Web, but there's an interesting history behind the sign. I'm currently awaiting a call from my sister to meet her, her fiancee and our collective families at the courthouse to attend her wedding today.

    Don't bother trying to translate it; it's a joke in "pidgin German" and was meant to be stupid like that. :)

    That is the english words admittedily germanified but thats the point, read it fast then slowly. You should get the point. Visitors sure as heck understood it and those that did'n't were told to leave the computer room as they had no business in there (apart from being thick).
