I'm hoping this is a support group for Blue Wave QWK Readers. If so, where can the latest version be obtained?

If not, please excuse the interruption.

    Thanks, in either instance.

    Hi, Bill-

Blue Wave, the actual product, has been dead for years now.

I use Multimail, which does QWK, QWKE, Blue Wave, SOUP, and a host of other offline mail formats and it works well (and is open source).

However, there are many who still use the DOS-based reader. I still run the original Blue Wave BBS door on my BBS for my users.

It is. The latest version is still the old 2.20/2.30 set of readers...
The author is long gone, but these still work just fine.. :) They are available at a number of bbses still... I know that Waldo's Place keeps
all the Bluewave files available, including the patches/fixes needed to
have the reader (and the doors) work post-y2k.... This just was talked
about within the month or so here, so if you can look back to the
previous threads, you should see that... :)

    Thanks, in either instance.

Some of us stick around and monitor this just in case someone like you
pops up and needs help still.. :) I'm still a VERY satisified
    Bluewave user... :)

BTW, I noticed that you've been putting a lot of essentially empty
messages into the BBS_PROMOTION echo... TinyTic notices that contained
no files listed... often multiples within a single day... In the first
place, that's not where that sort of message is supposed to go, even
with content... But secondly, there's no need to clutter up the area
(quiet as it may be) with no-content reports... Was there some sort of
    glitch at your system...?

FWIW, the original purpose of that echo was to discuss ways of promoting
one's bbs and bbsing in general... It's strayed pretty far from that
now, mostly it's bbses advertising themselves (which is the purpose of BBS_ADS)... Just thought I'd mention it, since I was talking to you
    anyway... :)

I use it for 5 months a year when I'm at the trailer, as my only internet connection up here is via tethering to my cell phone. Since this is Canada they charge me HUGE money for data and limit me to 2gb a month shared between both my wife and I.

Pretty much the same isn't it? They've jacked the cell bills up
so high now, if we make a single change to our plan it jumps $50 a
month for the same thing we have now.
