I'm looking for the coders of the BlueWave QWK BBS Door by Cutting
Edge Computing.
I'm looking for someone that can provide me a KEY for this BBS door please?
there is no way to register any of the doors or the reader... they can
only be hacked or maybe a keygen used...

it might be easier (and better??) to write your own BW compatible "door" module for the bbs software you are running ;)

Yes, i can code a QWK door that's not the problem, but it is a lot
of work and just one persone will be use it that's me, so... I
dont know that i will be do that mutch work for just one guy ;)
you haven't said what bbs software it is for but i cannot imagine that no one else would want to use it...

Leave me a private message on my board, Rudi, and I can help you with what you're needing.

I use now on this moment EleBBS,
but i found that there is a bug with the telnet connection and
the door.sys or dorinfo.def when a user connects with the
internal telnet server from EleBBS then i give a connection of
6550 baud in the door.sys or dorinfo.def
and there are some doors that then not work, becoss the not
correct baud rate it give out in the door file.
I had a official key for the QWK mail door of coder from Wildcat
BBS and try to install it and it works but not with that baud
rate, and the only door that i found then was that from Cutting
Edge...
But it is oke i will be use it unregistered, i dont have many user
that will use the QWK Mail door it is just that i support it on
the BBS ;)
that is not a valid baud rate... is this using a FOSSIL or no?
FWIW: the valid baud rates are...
110, 300, 600, 1200, 2400, 4800, 9600, 14400, 19200, 28800, 38400,
56000, 57600, 115200
you should not "float" your serial connection... you should run it with a "locked" port rate and then let the (virtual) modem handle the actual connect rate with the remote on its own while talking to the local "port"
at one specific rate...

Doors do. But I think with some limitations. Nothing major though.
George didnot make the money of the doors. Think about it. There could
be a dozen doors, but a dozen readers for each door ( just throwing up a number ) the reader waswhere the money was.

Even so, the readers work just fine without registration, too. I think there's just a delay at the beginning... been so long since I had it unregistered, not positive any more, but that's what I remember.
I believe that there is either a built-in BW door in EleBBS or one that works with it. I've used that on other bbses running EleBBS.
There is a difference between QWK and BW... Bluewave doors produce BW offline packets, which can be read only in BlueWave or BW-compatible readers. The BW (or compatible) readers also read and generate QWK
packets, so they can be used with other bbses that only have some sort
of QWK packets, such as Wildcat. I'm using my BW reader right now to
answer this message. As it happens, it is going to be going to a BW
door, so will stay in a BW format. If I were replying from one of my
backup bbs packets, it likely could have been in a QWK format, as some
of them don't have BW, just QWK. As a user that relies heavily on doing things offline, I Thank You very much for offering the option. :) If I were to visit your bbs, offline capability is one thing I look for. :)
Yes i know this but i just name it al QWK ;)

don't... it adds confusion and it is wrong... it would be like calling a Saab a Citroën... both are cars but they are not the same ;)
thanks!

Yes indeed there are a few doors that works with EleBBS but no build
in ones...
Have you tried OLMS2000 for EleBBS? I've heard it works well with EleBBS.

I have found some website where you can download the keygen for all
this readers so if you like to have it send me a netmail, then i can
send you a link where you found it.

No problem for this option on my BBS ;) I have also EleWEB online and there also you can read and reply to a echomail. The link is http://renobbs.wordpress.com/
Probably better to name it all as Offline reader, since that is less confusing, and more inclusive. :)
Thanks, but I don't do web stuff... just telnet (and offline [g]). :)

Yes i know that door also, but what i dont like it that it has no protocols build in....
