PERSEID METEOR OUTBURST: Do you love the Per

    I can't resist this;

A Solar physicist named professor Valentina Zharkova and colleagues
have been studying the Sun for some time now. And the Northumbrian
University professor and colleagues have found various inner workings
of the Sun that shed light on the Sun's solar cycles and variations that can can be a lot more predictable in the future.

Their research suggests that the next three Solar cycles will see reduced Solar activity similar to that which occurred during the so-called `Maunder Min Minimum' in the 1600's. Which will have implications for temperatures
    here on Earth.

And although future Solar cycles will serve as tests for these astrophysicist's work...most `climate' scientists have not welcomed the
work, have, in fact, attempted to SUPPRESS these new findings (gosh! I wo wonder why?)!

To most people (in their life spans) the Sun seems to never change. But in fact, it undergoes changes on a constant basis. There is, of course, the well-known 11 year cycle of Sun spots which are observed to come and go w
with regularity. But `computer models' (much like the ones `created' for so-called "climate research") are only partially successful in predicting the Sun's cycle. And that might be because there is an important component mi missing.

Zharkova and colleagues have discovered that the Sun has two separate `dynamos' coming from different depths of the Sun's interior. And the interac interaction between these two magnetic waves either enhance the Sun's activit activity, or damp it down. Which suggests we are in for a period of low Solar a Solar activity.

Professor Zharkova says we will see this between 2020 and 2053 when the n
the next three cycles will see a very reduced magnetic field of the Sun.

Which, she says, may very well be another Maunder Minimum period of sim
similar cold as in the 17th century. That `minimum' lasted around 65
years. This one she thinks will last around 30 to 35 years.

This information, by the way, came out early this month. So we (that is,
*I*) aren't bringing up anything that is `out of the range' of Roger's
intent to bring the echo's postings into modern-day scientific research.

    Something interesting (and telling):

Many `climatologists' resented her discovery...even attempted to su
suppress it's publication, even contacted The Royal Astrophysical Society an and demanded (behind their backs, of course) that the press release be wi withdrawn!

You have to wonder at the close-mindedness of `scientists' who refuse to consider...nay attempt to suppress...a scientists' research! Amazing!

BUT! Back to the land of the `silent majority of one'!
