In case any of you were wondering, and judging by the lack of mail to me here you haven't, I received the following from NASA:

"he Science@NASA list is being upgraded. It is currently unavailable but will be back soon!"

I have no idea how long this is going to take.

    Regards,

    Roger

Or what form it may take. Mmm... NASA + "upgrade" = something even HAL would choke on? ;)

    Cheers,

Just out of curiousity, I signed up again using a different email address and my message was bounced back to me, so they are indeed offline. (-:

that's like the WHITEHOUSE echo... i used to pull the whitehouse briefings from
a site and then when the POTUS changed, they went to a blog format which i never was able to figure out and be able to grab like before for cleaning up and posting to the WHITEHOUSE echo... t'weren't no more easy wget year-month-day type thing like it had been... i wrote them and asked about it but didn't even get a response... not even a ack that my message was received...

That's more of an 'ownership' thing perhaps? They're still retaining control over content distribution, and yet still consistent with some sort of public access policy.

OTOH, you have NASA. An organisation brimming with propeller-heads.

Oh yeah... be afraid. Be very afraid...

    8-)

    Cheers,
    Paul.
