Consider it done, just be advised that my gate is two way and it will feed to the moderator for the posts.

There may be a small number of initial dupes in the beginning and I have to train the spam/sporge killfiles if we get anything bad, which shouldn't since it's moderated.

Have you noticed that stars from several of the older sci-fi shows are
    popping up in commercials.

I've seen Bruce Boxleitner showing up in several commercials lately.

Toppik Hair Building Fibers - even though he's not been going bald.
Really cute fancy fiest kitty food commercial - with a wedding

Still working in Cedar Grove TV series.

    ---

Jerry Doyle hasn't done much since then either, but I thought he was great in his part.

Billy Mumy is doing music and producing now.

Mira Furlan who I thought was HOT HOT HOT back in the day is still active in Yugoslavia... and married to Goran Gajic also a Yugoslavian actor.

Peter Jurasik - active as 2015... still funny.

Claudia Christian - Still HOT HOT HOT was hotter back then and active (very active) on IMDB.

I also remember when JMS was very active on the fido echo and the newsgroups back in the day. I was amazed at how accessible he was.

    Hello Allen!

for crying out loud allen *read and understand* what people tell you about things in fidonet. This raea already has a
gate from the usenet area to fidonet for babylon5 messages.

Now that you have spewed all those old posts into this area, I know why I got a deluge of email's from the system
blocking messages from the fidonet side.

    -!- MBSE BBS v1.0.4 (GNU/Linux-i386)
    ! Origin: Deep Thought (3:633/280@fidonet)

See this origin that mark lewis posted to you, it is showing the system that is already gating this area from usenet to
fidonet. (Ignore the origin as that is the server that the message was posted from, and look at the address).

Thnanks for f*ucking up another fidonet area that was working as it should.

I will now turn off a working gating system, and you can have the lack of messages also make your gate look like it's not
    even there.

    Stephen,

Rob the Moderator no longer has access to usenet... I have no idea what his last downloaded pointer was so there would be some duplicates. If you took time to read the messages like you accuse me of not doing you would have seen this message below... I've restored the gate... it moves slow... your message and this message will not go across the usenet gate.

So before you go complaining about something done why don't you bother to
-ask- the actual moderator of the echo.

I'm sure Robert will weigh in here. It's hopefully going to be beneficial to everyone to see traffic in this area once again.

Have a look at these messages from 2014 when I started to gate the area.
    They are archived on https://fidonet.ozzmosis.com/
For some reason some of my messages didn't get archived, but there is a clear list of when the gating
    started.

If you had of waited or done a *RESCAN* from your uplink you would have seen these messages if they had them.

I would have also sent you a message stating I was already doing the gating, but didn't get that chance
before your system spewed those old messages back into the echo.

Every message from mid 2014 then on has my system's FTN address listed as the gateing system.

There are many but I'm not sure all heirarchies are available outside of the .edu domains. I'm feeding from the University and the academic channels
    still use UUCP a lot.

There are many in other heirarchies, but once the spam is filtered out of it the messages may trickle. Google has done a lot to bring usenet back into play, but unfortunately if it's an older show that the younger crowd doesn't appreciate it won't get much action.

Unfortunately the younger crowd doesn't know the joys of Babylon5 as it's now 20+ years old, yet it seems like yesterday it was on the television. <sigh>
