    Hello,

Does anyone here use a SCSI Zip drive with their
Atari ST, TT etc? Are you able to boot from it?

    Regards,

    Hi Andy,

I've got one of those but never thought to try it out. When you say "boot from it" what do you mean? Are you talking about running something from the AUTO folder or launching something like Geneva/NeoDesk or MagicOS?

    Regards,
    Doug

When I wrote that I was probably thinking of MiNT, which
I used experimentally with TOSWIN, never with a new AES or desktop and never on
an ST with a hard disk. I'd settle for being able to see and mount the disk from the GEM desktop.

    Thanks,
    - Andy Ball

I'm going to have to dig out my zip drive and experiment now!

I was able to boot from both the local drive and the zip drive.

I think I even had it where I burned a CD and loaded from that drive at one point as well.

Of course I got rid of the ST and TTs sometime ago. I liked to use HDriver I think.
