Never was into the Pogues nor was really aware of them.
"Dirty Ol' Town" was the first I heard them way back when.
I think they make a better live band but cannot say since
I never had the pleasure of seeing them live ... errrr
... more than a bit too late now.
Also I've heard they are big in the Maritimes. I believe
"Fairytale of New York" gets much airtime around Christmas
in Newfoundland.
But they do seem to have an accent when they sing - I find that a
bit distracting.
