I'm just as happy not to get any... but that would be wishful
    thinking hereabouts...

Same situation here except with rain. The ground is still super
saturated so even a little bit will cause more grief than it normally would at this stage of the game.

I can understand that... Here, the ground is somewhat frozen, so when
there's a thaw of snow, or rain, there's also nowhere for the water to
    go.... causing some grief....

As long as you were spared...

Not totally but nowhere near as bad as others in the general area.

    That's not too bad, then...

In some parts there have been people and their vehicles ended up being drowned after being swept away by some raging stream that has broken
it's banks. One guy got swept off a bridge while he was observing the raging stream from above. Last I heard they still haven't recovered
    his body.

That's sad... and rather scary as well... Good reasons to stay clear of
any chance of the raging streams....

Today was sunny for the mostpart with no rain. Tomorrow and Saturday
are forcast for at least some periods of rain. Hopefully we get a
miss on any of that but I have my doubts.

We've had mostly clouds with some sun coming through from time to
time... only a little bit of snow.... But it did get mighty cold on
Thursday night and Friday.... we were down to almost 0 degrees F (-17 C
or thereabouts) Friday night... It was about 5 degrees (-15C) the night before.... but then it warmed back up to about freezing for Saturday and
    maybe about 4C (40F) today.... :)
