• Radius Won't Crashmail?

    Hi! Kurt,

In a message to All you wrote:

I'm running Radius 4.010, and wondering why I have echomail packets waiting in my outbound. I have all mail set to flavor Crash by my
tosser, and a glance at the outbound tab shows them all lined up with
    a C status.

Okay, click on the Polls 'tab'. Right-click on one of the addressees, and click "Info". What does Radius say about the node? That'll be the clue.

I thought that would mean that Radius should be crashing mail out non-stop, but the mail just sits there.

Yes, it ought to. Sometimes too soon! ;-)

I'm looking back on my BinkleyTerm days and remembered having to set
an event to tell it to crashmail. I have periodic polls set up for my
hubs but would like any crashmail to go out immediately. What am I missing?

We don't need silly 'events' in Radius though they can be replicated. You have

a recent nodelist and it's compiled by Radius? The target nodes are 'CM' and have a 'IBN' or 'ITN' or 'IFC' flag with a properly-formed domain name? Then all should be good.

    Cheers,
    Paul.

I'm looking through them, and the majority of them, the nodes flying the CM flag have this notation:

"This is a poll generated by outbound packed and will work accordingly to node on-line time"

Since they're CM, I thought a crash packet would go out immediately. But, I have at least 10 outbound packets for CM systems marked crash just sitting there.

In the polls window, they show up as owner none, status idle, busy 0/10, no. C 0/10, fail 0/10, type outbound.

I restarted my system just to be sure that it wasn't a system issue - I saw my BBS poll a couple of times, but there's still more sitting in my outbound than I'd like. I'd prefer that my system crashmail any CM system as soon as there's anything waiting.

    Thanks,

    Kurt
