• Returning at long last

    Hi everyone,

So after probably 20 years away, I'm finally back on FidoNet reliving the glory days of FidoNet on my new BBS (reachable via telnet at matrixreturns.dyndns.org).

I was the moderator of the Apple echo for awhile back in probably 1991 or
1992. As was often the case in those pre-internet days, my hub stopped carrying the echo and I abruptly disappeared!

I am still an avid Apple II user. My childhood IIgs is still alive and well, with some modern add-ons like the CFFA card (my GS was running an SSD before my Mac!), the Uthernet card, a 12mhz transwarp GS, and 4 megs of RAM. It's amazing that so many members of the Apple II community are still actively developing hardware and software. Perhaps the Apple II is truly forever.

Looking forward to catching up with any of the other 'old timers' who might still be lurking on the echo. I will say that I was in high school when I was moderating the echo ;-P.

    -Lon

    Hi everyone,

    Hi!

I don't know if this is an Apple ][ only echo, but I've been having fun
with Mac-On-A-Stick. It's a whole Mac emulator that runs on a Pen Drive
under Windows, Linux and OS X. Sort of a DOSBOX for Mac Plus users.

I can't wait to play some of the old games from the 80s that I could only
    play at work.

(Back then, I managed a mainframe computer and wrote front-end Mac apps at
    my university)
