    reading this stuff or am I the only shmuck reading them?

    once you've seen the same BBS ad over and over and over and over and over and over and over, etc... they become nothing more than spam... especially when the
    same ads are posted more than once a week or even once a month... the premise that they will attract users is questionable... they definitely will not attract some users that detest being spammed over and over and over and over and over again with the same ones... kinda like on television ;)

    I've gotten so where I autopost my ad once a week...some systems
    "autopost" their ads several times a day. But, I want people to logon
    here because they WANT to...NOT because they have to. I run the BBS for
    my enjoyment.

    I've seen some echoes where the moderator has decreed that "a max of
    twice a week on posts" will be allowed, but several systems seem to
    ignore it. I wonder how many actually read the BBS Ads echo??

    No you're not on your own. But I agree it seems a bit much to see the same
    ads running over and over. The only thing is shows is somewhere, somehow a system is generating an automated post. Oh, and that there's a BBS you may
    be interested in connecting with also :)

    Good newsgroups to chat about BBS would be alt.bbs.general and
    comp.bbs.misc I think, and the software specific groups like alt.bbs.mystic
    or alt.bbs.synchronet both of which are gated between Fidonet and Usenet still.
