It took a little searching, but for those wondering, "provox" is
a package available here (also with other blind related software) :

Subject: free dos installation
I got the free dos cd and will first load provox onto my computer so it
talks. Then I plan to run the setup batch file on the free dos cd. I'm curious to know if I'm likely to have speech up and working through the
whole installation or not though.
